Mylène T. Huynh, MD, MPH
Dr. Mylène Huynh is board certified in family practice and preventive medicine and a longtime mindfulness practitioner. She began her mindfulness practice during her undergraduate studies at the University of Virginia over 30 years ago. Inspired by the scientific evidence of mindfulness on health and well-being, she has deepened her practice by engaging in continuing medical educational programs at the UMass Center for Mindfulness, and participating regularly in meditation retreats.
Dr. Huynh served for 21 years in the US Air Force and retired as a colonel. While serving as squadron commander, she implemented a mindfulness-based program for medical personnel to alleviate stress and bring back the joy in medicine. She has continued to incorporate the principles of mindfulness in clinical medicine and share the health benefits of presence with her patients. Dr. Huynh was featured in the book A Mindful Nation by Congressman Tim Ryan, and was on the cover of the December 2015 issue of Mindful magazine.
Dr. Huynh’s life passion is to help her patients prevent illness and reverse chronic diseases. She founded TruPoint Health with the mission to empower well-being through identifying and treating root causes of illness.
